I am a freshman at Stanford University studying Computer Science. I am a practicing Catholic and I love my family very much. I maintain a close relationship with my younger brother Alex, with whom I spend most of my days. I like to be surrounded by my family and friends.
I put a lot of effort into doing the best I can academically, and I am blessed to be able to possess the God-given talents I utilize every day. I graduated as the Valedictorian of the Saint John's Class of 2021 and won the Academic Excellence Award.
At Saint John's I was a member of a world-class robotics team, solved Rubik's cubes competitively, competed mathematically on a state level, played Chess, and competed in and played various sports.
In my opinion, one of my strongest talents is my academic performance. I am very blessed to be performing well at Saint John's with a high GPA, consistently maintaining the Headmaster's List. I was named the valedictorian of the Class of 2021.
I try my hardest to maintain a stellar GPA. I put effort into the things I love, and I try to do the best I can. I've observed that I perform better when I try my hardest than when I know the material but don't put as much effort into my work. I've made it a personal goal of mine to work hard and put effort into all that I do, even if it can be difficult.
I graduated from Saint John's High School with the highest GPA, so during our graduation, I was asked to give a valedictory address. Check it out!
I am the programming captain of Saint John's High School's FIRST Robotics team. FTC Team 12589, Pioneer Robotics, is a four-year-old team. In 2019, Pioneer Robotics triumphed at the state level and proceeded to the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Detroit. We went 7-2 and placed 20th in the world out of thousands of teams. Team 12589 had the best autonomous program in the world, which demonstrated our hard work and programming ability. As a programmer, I've become proficient in Java from robot development. I also spend time performing multivariate data analysis prior to and during competitions. I am able to learn so much from robotics, and to be a part of a world-class team is an opportunity which I am very grateful for.
Our team often participates in outreach. We attend many events in order to spread STEM, its applications, and the values of our team and of the FIRST organization. We attend events like TouchTomorrow at WPI, or the MIT's Robot Zoo at the Cambridge Science Festival. We mentor local FTC teams and teach them to perform at the State Championship level. I spend most of my time after school at our student-driven robotics meetings, where we are able to learn from other like-minded students in a positive environment with lots of facilities. My experience with Team 12589 has been a great one so far, and I hope to accomplish so much more in the rest of my time with the team.
Team 12589 ranked 20th in the world while participating in the FTC World Championships in Detroit. We also had the best autonomous program in the world! Click the picture of our robot above to see our robot in action in 12589's official robot reveal for Rover Ruckus!
